Chapter 145

David's Psalm of praise. I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.

Louange. De David. Je t`exalterai, ô mon Dieu, mon roi! Et je bénirai ton nom à toujours et à perpétuité.

Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

Chaque jour je te bénirai, Et je célébrerai ton nom à toujours et à perpétuité.

Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.

L`Éternel est grand et très digne de louange, Et sa grandeur est insondable.

One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.

Que chaque génération célèbre tes oeuvres, Et publie tes hauts faits!

I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.

Je dirai la splendeur glorieuse de ta majesté; Je chanterai tes merveilles.

And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness.

On parlera de ta puissance redoutable, Et je raconterai ta grandeur.

They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.

Qu`on proclame le souvenir de ton immense bonté, Et qu`on célèbre ta justice!

The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.

L`Éternel est miséricordieux et compatissant, Lent à la colère et plein de bonté.

The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

L`Éternel est bon envers tous, Et ses compassions s`étendent sur toutes ses oeuvres.

All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.

Toutes tes oeuvres te loueront, ô Éternel! Et tes fidèles te béniront.

They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;

Ils diront la gloire de ton règne, Et ils proclameront ta puissance,

To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.

Pour faire connaître aux fils de l`homme ta puissance Et la splendeur glorieuse de ton règne.

Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.

Ton règne est un règne de tous les siècles, Et ta domination subsiste dans tous les âges.

The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.

L`Éternel soutient tous ceux qui tombent, Et il redresse tous ceux qui sont courbés.

The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season.

Les yeux de tous espèrent en toi, Et tu leur donnes la nourriture en son temps.

Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.

Tu ouvres ta main, Et tu rassasies à souhait tout ce qui a vie.

The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

L`Éternel est juste dans toutes ses voies, Et miséricordieux dans toutes ses oeuvres.

The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.

L`Éternel est près de tous ceux qui l`invoquent, De tous ceux qui l`invoquent avec sincérité;

He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

Il accomplit les désirs de ceux qui le craignent, Il entend leur cri et il les sauve.

The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.

L`Éternel garde tous ceux qui l`aiment, Et il détruit tous les méchants.

My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.

Que ma bouche publie la louange de l`Éternel, Et que toute chair bénisse son saint nom, A toujours et à perpétuité!
