Chapter 119

ALEPH. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.

(ALEPH.) Wohl denen, die ohne Tadel leben, die im Gesetz des HERRN wandeln!

Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.

Wohl denen, die seine Zeugnisse halten, die ihn von ganzem Herzen suchen!

They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.

Denn welche auf seinen Wegen wandeln, die tun kein Übel.

Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.

Du hast geboten, fleißig zu halten deine Befehle.

O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!

Oh daß mein Leben deine Rechte mit ganzem Ernst hielte!

Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.

Wenn ich schaue allein auf deine Gebote, so werde ich nicht zu Schanden.

I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.

Ich danke dir von Herzen, daß du mich lehrst die Rechte deiner Gerechtigkeit.

I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly.

Deine Rechte will ich halten; verlaß mich nimmermehr.

BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.

(BETH.) Wie wird ein Jüngling seinen Weg unsträflich gehen? Wenn er sich hält nach deinen Worten.

With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.

Ich suche dich von ganzem Herzen; laß mich nicht abirren von deinen Geboten.

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Ich behalte dein Wort in meinem Herzen, auf daß ich nicht wieder dich sündige.

Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.

Gelobt seist du, HERR! Lehre mich deine Rechte!

With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.

Ich will mit meinen Lippen erzählen alle Rechte deines Mundes.

I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.

Ich freue mich des Weges deiner Zeugnisse wie über allerlei Reichtum.

I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.

Ich rede von dem, was du befohlen hast, und schaue auf deine Wege.

I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.

Ich habe Lust zu deinen Rechten und vergesse deiner Worte nicht.

GIMEL. Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word.

(GIMEL.) Tue wohl deinem Knecht, daß ich lebe und dein Wort halte.

Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

Öffne mir die Augen, daß ich sehe die Wunder an deinem Gesetz.

I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.

Ich bin ein Gast auf Erden; verbirg deine Gebote nicht vor mir.

My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath unto thy judgments at all times.

Meine Seele ist zermalmt vor Verlangen nach deinen Rechten allezeit.

Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments.

Du schiltst die Stolzen; verflucht sind, die von deinen Geboten abirren.

Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept thy testimonies.

Wende von mir Schmach und Verachtung; denn ich halte deine Zeugnisse.

Princes also did sit and speak against me: but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.

Es sitzen auch die Fürsten und reden wider mich; aber dein Knecht redet von deinen Rechten.

Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counsellors.

Ich habe Lust zu deinen Zeugnissen; die sind meine Ratsleute.

DALETH. My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word.

(DALETH.) Meine Seele liegt im Staube; erquicke mich nach deinem Wort.

I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes.

Ich erzähle meine Wege, und du erhörst mich; lehre mich deine Rechte.

Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works.

Unterweise mich den Weg deiner Befehle, so will ich reden von deinen Wundern.

My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word.

Ich gräme mich, daß mir das Herz verschmachtet; stärke mich nach deinem Wort.

Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously.

Wende von mir den falschen Weg und gönne mir dein Gesetz.

I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me.

Ich habe den Weg der Wahrheit erwählt; deine Rechte habe ich vor mich gestellt.

I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O LORD, put me not to shame.

Ich hange an deinen Zeugnissen; HERR, laß mich nicht zu Schanden werden!

I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.

Wenn du mein Herz tröstest, so laufe ich den Weg deiner Gebote.

HE. Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.

(HE.) Zeige mir, HERR, den Weg deiner Rechte, daß ich sie bewahre bis ans Ende.

Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

Unterweise mich, daß ich bewahre dein Gesetz und halte es von ganzem Herzen.

Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.

Führe mich auf dem Steige deiner Gebote; denn ich habe Lust dazu.

Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.

Neige mein Herz zu deinen Zeugnissen, und nicht zum Geiz.

Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way.

Wende meine Augen ab, daß sie nicht sehen nach unnützer Lehre; sondern erquicke mich auf deinem Wege.

Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear.

Laß deinen Knecht dein Gebot fest für dein Wort halten, daß ich mich nicht fürchte.

Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments are good.

Wende von mir die Schmach, die ich scheue; denn deine Rechte sind lieblich.

Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness.

Siehe, ich begehre deiner Befehle; erquicke mich mit deiner Gerechtigkeit.

VAU. Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even thy salvation, according to thy word.

(VAU.) HERR, laß mir deine Gnade widerfahren, deine Hilfe nach deinem Wort,

So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word.

daß ich antworten möge meinem Lästerer; denn ich verlasse mich auf dein Wort.

And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments.

Und nimm ja nicht von meinem Munde das Wort der Wahrheit; denn ich hoffe auf deine Rechte.

So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.

Ich will dein Gesetz halten allewege, immer und ewiglich.

And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.

Und ich wandle fröhlich; denn ich suche deine Befehle.

I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.

Ich rede von deinen Zeugnissen vor Königen und schäme mich nicht

And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.

und habe Lust an deinen Geboten, und sie sind mir lieb,

My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.

und hebe meine Hände auf zu deinen Geboten, die mir lieb sind, und rede von deinen Rechten.

ZAIN. Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.

(ZAIN.) Gedenke deinem Knechte an dein Wort, auf welches du mich lässest hoffen.

This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.

Das ist mein Trost in meinem Elend; denn dein Wort erquickt mich.

The proud have had me greatly in derision: yet have I not declined from thy law.

Die Stolzen haben ihren Spott an mir; dennoch weiche ich nicht von deinem Gesetz.

I remembered thy judgments of old, O LORD; and have comforted myself.

HERR, wenn ich gedenke, wie du von der Welt her gerichtet hast, so werde ich getröstet.

Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law.

Ich bin entbrannt über die Gottlosen, die dein Gesetz verlassen.

Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.

Deine Rechte sind mein Lied in dem Hause meiner Wallfahrt.

I have remembered thy name, O LORD, in the night, and have kept thy law.

HERR, ich gedenke des Nachts an deinen Namen und halte dein Gesetz.

This I had, because I kept thy precepts.

Das ist mein Schatz, daß ich deine Befehle halte.

CHETH. Thou art my portion, O LORD: I have said that I would keep thy words.

(CHETH.) Ich habe gesagt: "HERR, das soll mein Erbe sein, daß ich deine Worte halte."

I intreated thy favour with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word.

Ich flehe vor deinem Angesicht von ganzem Herzen; sei mir gnädig nach deinem Wort.

I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.

Ich betrachte meine Wege und kehre meine Füße zu deinen Zeugnissen.

I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.

Ich eile und säume mich nicht, zu halten deine Gebote.

The bands of the wicked have robbed me: but I have not forgotten thy law.

Der Gottlosen Rotte beraubt mich; aber ich vergesse deines Gesetzes nicht.

At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments.

Zur Mitternacht stehe ich auf, dir zu danken für die Rechte deiner Gerechtigkeit.

I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts.

Ich halte mich zu denen, die dich fürchten und deine Befehle halten.

The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy: teach me thy statutes.

HERR, die Erde ist voll deiner Güte; lehre mich deine Rechte.

TETH. Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O LORD, according unto thy word.

(TETH.) Du tust Gutes deinem Knechte, HERR, nach deinem Wort.

Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.

Lehre mich heilsame Sitten und Erkenntnis; den ich glaube deinen Geboten.

Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.

Ehe ich gedemütigt ward, irrte ich; nun aber halte ich dein Wort.

Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.

Du bist gütig und freundlich; lehre mich deine Rechte.

The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart.

Die Stolzen erdichten Lügen über mich; ich aber halte von ganzem Herzen deine Befehle.

Their heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in thy law.

Ihr Herz ist dick wie Schmer; ich aber habe Lust an deinem Gesetz.

It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.

Es ist mir lieb, daß du mich gedemütigt hast, daß ich deine Rechte lerne.

The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

Das Gesetz deines Mundes ist mir lieber denn viel tausend Stück Gold und Silber.

JOD. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.

(JOD.) Deine Hand hat mich gemacht und bereitet; unterweise mich, daß ich deine Gebote lerne.

They that fear thee will be glad when they see me; because I have hoped in thy word.

Die dich fürchten, sehen mich und freuen sich; denn ich hoffe auf dein Wort.

I know, O LORD, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.

HERR, ich weiß, daß deine Gerichte recht sind; du hast mich treulich gedemütigt.

Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.

Deine Gnade müsse mein Trost sein, wie du deinem Knecht zugesagt hast.

Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law is my delight.

Laß mir deine Barmherzigkeit widerfahren, daß ich lebe; denn ich habe Lust zu deinem Gesetz.

Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: but I will meditate in thy precepts.

Ach daß die Stolzen müßten zu Schanden werden, die mich mit Lügen niederdrücken! ich aber rede von deinen Befehlen.

Let those that fear thee turn unto me, and those that have known thy testimonies.

Ach daß sich müßten zu mir halten, die dich fürchten und deine Zeugnisse kennen!

Let my heart be sound in thy statutes; that I be not ashamed.

Mein Herz bleibe rechtschaffen in deinen Rechten, daß ich nicht zu Schanden werde.

CAPH. My soul fainteth for thy salvation: but I hope in thy word.

(CAPH.) Meine Seele verlangt nach deinem Heil; ich hoffe auf dein Wort.

Mine eyes fail for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?

Meine Augen sehnen sich nach deinem Wort und sagen: Wann tröstest du mich?

For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; yet do I not forget thy statutes.

Denn ich bin wie ein Schlauch im Rauch; deiner Rechte vergesse ich nicht.

How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me?

Wie lange soll dein Knecht warten? Wann willst du Gericht halten über meine Verfolger?

The proud have digged pits for me, which are not after thy law.

Die Stolzen graben ihre Gruben, sie, die nicht sind nach deinem Gesetz.

All thy commandments are faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.

Deine Gebote sind eitel Wahrheit. Sie verfolgen mich mit Lügen; hilf mir.

They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not thy precepts.

Sie haben mich schier umgebracht auf Erden; ich aber lasse deine Befehle nicht.

Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; so shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth.

Erquicke mich durch deine Gnade, daß ich halte die Zeugnisse deines Mundes.

LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

(LAMED.) HERR, dein Wort bleibt ewiglich, soweit der Himmel ist;

Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.

deine Wahrheit währet für und für. Du hast die Erde zugerichtet, und sie bleibt stehen.

They continue this day according to thine ordinances: for all are thy servants.

Es bleibt täglich nach deinem Wort; denn es muß dir alles dienen.

Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction.

Wo dein Gesetz nicht mein Trost gewesen wäre, so wäre ich vergangen in meinem Elend.

I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me.

Ich will deine Befehle nimmermehr vergessen; denn du erqickest mich damit.

I am thine, save me; for I have sought thy precepts.

Ich bin dein, hilf mir! denn ich suche deine Befehle.

The wicked have waited for me to destroy me: but I will consider thy testimonies.

Die Gottlosen lauern auf mich, daß sie mich umbringen; ich aber merke auf deine Zeugnisse.

I have seen an end of all perfection: but thy commandment is exceeding broad.

Ich habe alles Dinges ein Ende gesehen; aber dein Gebot währet.

MEM. O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.

(MEM.) Wie habe ich dein Gesetz so lieb! Täglich rede ich davon.

Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.

Du machst mich mit deinem Gebot weiser, als meine Feinde sind; denn es ist ewiglich mein Schatz.

I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.

Ich bin gelehrter denn alle meine Lehrer; denn deine Zeugnisse sind meine Rede.

I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.

Ich bin klüger denn die Alten; denn ich halte deine Befehle.

I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.

Ich wehre meinem Fuß alle bösen Wege, daß ich dein Wort halte.

I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.

Ich weiche nicht von deinen Rechten; denn du lehrest mich.

How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

Dein Wort ist meinem Munde süßer denn Honig.

Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

Dein Wort macht mich klug; darum hasse ich alle falschen Wege.

NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

(NUN.) Dein Wort ist meine Fußes Leuchte und ein Licht auf meinem Wege.

I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.

Ich schwöre und will's halten, daß ich die Rechte deiner Gerechtigkeit halten will.

I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O LORD, according unto thy word.

Ich bin sehr gedemütigt; HERR, erquicke mich nach deinem Wort!

Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O LORD, and teach me thy judgments.

Laß dir gefallen, HERR das willige Opfer meines Mundes und lehre mich deine Rechte.

My soul is continually in my hand: yet do I not forget thy law.

Ich trage meine Seele immer in meinen Händen, und ich vergesse deines Gesetzes nicht.

The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts.

Die Gottlosen legen mir Stricke; ich aber irre nicht von deinen Befehlen.

Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart.

Deine Zeugnisse sind mein ewiges Erbe; denn sie sind meines Herzens Wonne.

I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, even unto the end.

Ich neige mein Herz, zu tun nach deinen Rechten immer und ewiglich.

SAMECH. I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love.

(SAMECH.) Ich hasse die Flattergeister und liebe dein Gesetz.

Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

Du bist mein Schirm und Schild; ich hoffe auf dein Wort.

Depart from me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God.

Weichet von mir, ihr Boshaften! Ich will halten die Gebote meines Gottes.

Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.

Erhalte mich durch dein Wort, daß ich lebe; und laß mich nicht zu Schanden werden über meiner Hoffnung.

Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually.

Stärke mich, daß ich genese, so will ich stets meine Lust haben an deinen Rechten.

Thou hast trodden down all them that err from thy statutes: for their deceit is falsehood.

Du zertrittst alle, die von deinen Rechten abirren; denn ihre Trügerei ist eitel Lüge.

Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross: therefore I love thy testimonies.

Du wirfst alle Gottlosen auf Erden weg wie Schlacken; darum liebe ich deine Zeugnisse.

My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; and I am afraid of thy judgments.

Ich fürchte mich vor dir, daß mir die Haut schaudert, und entsetze mich vor deinen Gerichten.

AIN. I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors.

(AIN.) Ich halte über Recht und Gerechtigkeit; übergib mich nicht denen, die mir wollen Gewalt tun.

Be surety for thy servant for good: let not the proud oppress me.

Vertritt du deinen Knecht und tröste ihn; mögen mir die Stolzen nicht Gewalt tun.

Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.

Meine Augen sehnen sich nach deinem Heil und nach dem Wort deiner Gerechtigkeit.

Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes.

Handle mit deinem Knecht nach deiner Gnade und lehre mich deine Rechte.

I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.

Ich bin dein Knecht; unterweise mich, daß ich erkenne deine Zeugnisse.

It is time for thee, LORD, to work: for they have made void thy law.

Es ist Zeit, daß der HERR dazutue; sie haben dein Gesetz zerrissen.

Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.

Darum liebe ich dein Gebot über Gold und über feines Gold.

Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.

Darum halte ich stracks alle deine Befehle; ich hasse allen falschen Weg.

PE. Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them.

(PE.) Deine Zeugnisse sind wunderbar; darum hält sie meine Seele.

The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

Wenn dein Wort offenbar wird, so erfreut es und macht klug die Einfältigen.

I opened my mouth, and panted: for I longed for thy commandments.

Ich sperre meinen Mund auf und lechze nach deinen Geboten; denn mich verlangt darnach.

Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name.

Wende dich zu mir und sei mir gnädig, wie du pflegst zu tun denen, die deinen Namen lieben.

Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

Laß meinen Gang gewiß sein in deinem Wort und laß kein Unrecht über mich herrschen.

Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts.

Erlöse mich von der Menschen Frevel, so will ich halten deine Befehle.

Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes.

Laß dein Antlitz leuchten über deinen Knecht und lehre mich deine Rechte.

Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law.

Meine Augen fließen mit Wasser, daß man dein Gesetz nicht hält.

TZADDI. Righteous art thou, O LORD, and upright are thy judgments.

(TZADDI.) HERR, du bist gerecht, und dein Wort ist recht.

Thy testimonies that thou hast commanded are righteous and very faithful.

Du hast die Zeugnisse deiner Gerechtigkeit und die Wahrheit hart geboten.

My zeal hath consumed me, because mine enemies have forgotten thy words.

Ich habe mich schier zu Tode geeifert, daß meine Gegner deiner Worte vergessen.

Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.

Dein Wort ist wohl geläutert, und dein Knecht hat es lieb.

I am small and despised: yet do not I forget thy precepts.

Ich bin gering und verachtet; ich vergesse aber nicht deiner Befehle.

Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.

Deine Gerechtigkeit ist eine ewige Gerechtigkeit, und dein Gesetz ist Wahrheit.

Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: yet thy commandments are my delights.

Angst und Not haben mich getroffen; ich habe aber Lust an deinen Geboten.

The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.

Die Gerechtigkeit deiner Zeugnisse ist ewig; unterweise mich, so lebe ich.

KOPH. I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O LORD: I will keep thy statutes.

(KOPH.) Ich rufe von ganzem Herzen; erhöre mich, HERR, daß ich dein Rechte halte.

I cried unto thee; save me, and I shall keep thy testimonies.

Ich rufe zu dir; hilf mir, daß ich deine Zeugnisse halte.

I prevented the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy word.

Ich komme in der Frühe und schreie; auf dein Wort hoffe ich.

Mine eyes prevent the night watches, that I might meditate in thy word.

Ich wache auf, wenn's noch Nacht ist, zu sinnen über dein Wort.

Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness: O LORD, quicken me according to thy judgment.

Höre meine Stimme nach deiner Gnade; HERR, erquicke mich nach deinen Rechten.

They draw nigh that follow after mischief: they are far from thy law.

Meine boshaften Verfolger nahen herzu und sind ferne von deinem Gesetz.

Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth.

HERR, du bist nahe, und deine Gebote sind eitel Wahrheit.

Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.

Längst weiß ich, daß du deine Zeugnisse für ewig gegründet hast.

RESH. Consider mine affliction, and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law.

(RESH.) Siehe mein Elend und errette mich; hilf mir aus, denn ich vergesse deines Gesetzes nicht.

Plead my cause, and deliver me: quicken me according to thy word.

Führe meine Sache und erlöse mich; erquicke mich durch dein Wort.

Salvation is far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes.

Das Heil ist ferne von den Gottlosen; denn sie achten deine Rechte nicht.

Great are thy tender mercies, O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments.

HERR, deine Barmherzigkeit ist groß; erquicke mich nach deinen Rechten.

Many are my persecutors and mine enemies; yet do I not decline from thy testimonies.

Meiner Verfolger und Widersacher sind viele; ich weiche aber nicht von deinen Zeugnissen.

I beheld the transgressors, and was grieved; because they kept not thy word.

Ich sehe die Verächter, und es tut mir wehe, daß sie dein Wort nicht halten.

Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness.

My soul hath kept thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly.

Meine Seele hält deine Zeugnisse und liebt sie sehr.

I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies: for all my ways are before thee.

Ich halte deine Befehle und deine Zeugnisse; denn alle meine Wege sind vor dir.

TAU. Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word.

Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word.

Laß mein Flehen vor dich kommen; errette mich nach deinem Wort.

My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes.

Meine Lippen sollen loben, wenn du mich deine Rechte lehrest.

My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.

Meine Zunge soll ihr Gespräch haben von deinem Wort; denn alle deine Gebote sind recht.

Let thine hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts.

HERR, mich verlangt nach deinem Heil, und ich habe Lust an deinem Gesetz.
