Chapter 116

I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.

Amo ao Senhor, porque ele ouve a minha voz e a minha súplica.   

Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.

Porque inclina para mim o seu ouvido, invocá-lo-ei enquanto viver.   

The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.

Os laços da morte me cercaram; as angústias do Seol se apoderaram de mim; sofri tribulação e tristeza.   

Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.

Então invoquei o nome do Senhor, dizendo:Ó Senhor, eu te rogo, livra-me.   

Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.

Compassivo é o Senhor, e justo; sim, misericordioso é o nosso Deus.   

The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.

O Senhor guarda os simples; quando me acho abatido, ele me salva.   

Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.

Volta, minha alma, ao teu repouso, pois o Senhor te fez bem.   

For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

Pois livraste a minha alma da morte, os meus olhos das lágrimas, e os meus pés de tropeçar.   

I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.

Andarei perante o Senhor, na terra dos viventes.   

I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:

Cri, por isso falei; estive muito aflito.   

I said in my haste, All men are liars.

Eu dizia na minha precipitação: Todos os homens são mentirosos.   

What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?

Que darei eu ao Senhor por todos os benefícios que me tem feito?   

I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.

Tomarei o cálice da salvação, e invocarei o nome do Senhor.   

I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people.

Pagarei os meus votos ao Senhor, na presença de todo o seu povo.   

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

Preciosa é à vista do Senhor a morte dos seus santos.   

O LORD, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.

Ó Senhor, deveras sou teu servo; sou teu servo, filho da tua serva; soltaste as minhas cadeias.   

I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.

Oferecer-te-ei sacrifícios de ação de graças, e invocarei o nome do Senhor.   

I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people,

Pagarei os meus votos ao Senhor, na presença de todo o seu povo,   

In the courts of the LORD'S house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.

nos átrios da casa do Senhor, no meio de ti, ó Jerusalém! Louvai ao Senhor.
